Mentors & Heroes

Starting with the moment we are born and often before, our lives are shaped by Mentors and Heroes directly and indirectly. Historically, we focus our tributes, respect, and mainly honor to Mothers and Fallen Heroes this time of year. We recognize the sacrifices they paid to enrich our lives.

Mothers have mentored, influenced, and been the first Heroes in our lives. They could be our own Mom, a Step Mom, an Aunt, Grandmother, Mother in Law, Friends, Daughters, Daughters in Law, or the Mother of our Children. Mothers also serve in the Military and many will be away from their Children this year.

We also take a moment to acknowledge that our great Country owes a tremendous debt to the Men and Women that paid the ultimate price so that we may enjoy Freedom, in addition to Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

This edition of our USANA Newsletter pays tribute to Mothers and fallen Heroes, a timely article about Swine Flu, an article about increased vitamin sales in the recession, Blog updates, Resveratrol, USANA being named as one of the best companies to work for by Outdoor Magazine, Dr Regina Hamlin, product of the month, Voices of a Never Ending Dawn, making a difference and supporting others.

Swine Flu in Mexico: The "New" Bird Flu

by: Sherri Tenpenny, D.O.

We knew this was coming. Even though the bird flu hype was removed years ago from the nightly news, planning for the global pandemic and the development of pandemic flu vaccines has continued with little notice. Our government has instructed FEMA, made checklists for Homeland Security, given action plans to State and local authorities. These plans include methods and drills for global inoculation with a vaccine that will no doubt have the same deadly consequences as the Swine Flu vaccine in 1976.Please read the entire article by following this link:

What is so great about Resveratrol anyway?

Reveratrol has got a lot of attention recently after being mentioned on 60 minutes and Oprah. It is not a vitamin or a mineral. USANA offers Resveratrol in the AO Booster which can be found in the Health Pak 100 & MyHealthpaks. With 2000 mcg a day, Resveratrol gives the same antioxidants found in 2-10 glasses of red wine depending on the type. We have provided a link learn more on Resveratrol from the Linus Pauling Institute:
