Christmas greetings

T'is the Season for giving and receiving, sharing memories and creating new ones, to lift up others, and feel the warmth of humanity and of love for your fellow man. Yes, it is Christmastime and as a popular song says, " the most wonderful time of the year."

It has been two years since we last checked in with our USANA Newsletter. So much has happened in our lives and we are sure that much has happened in yours. We still take and recommend USANA Products to improve our physical health. This year we received a two step level advancement and our now Directors in USANA.

We started to write this before the Nation was shocked and saddened with the news from Newtown Ct. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, the community, & the Nation. Almost right after the story broke there were stories of heroism displayed by several that did everything they could to protect the children and to minimize loss of life.

One thing that is common is that anytime there is a crisis or disaster Americans become united to help in any way they can. This has been seen in relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy, Earthquakes, fires, floods, and even mass killings here and around the world. We have participated in several Fundraisers for Chilrens Hunger Fund(CHF) and look forward with ways to help in the future. Since 1992 CHF has brought hope to many Children around the World and provides assistance to victims of disasters such as Hurricane Sandy here in the United States and  the earthquake in Guatemala. If you would like to find out more about CHF click on the link provided here. CHFUS.org.

This year the leadership of USANA with Dr. Myron Wentz, & his son Dave decided to take the role USANA plays in the health and wellbeing of people throughout the World to a new level. The USANA True Health Foundation was established to to provide the most critical human necessities—nutrition, clothing, shelter, medical assistance, and health education—to  those who are suffering or in need. In addition to strengthening it's partnership with CHF, the USANA True Health Foundation allows your donation to go to areas of the greatest need. If you would like to donate to either the USANA True Health Foundation or CHF please click on our website stevensfamilyhealth.usana.com then click shop online then USANA Foundation.

Our journey in life has not been easy. This year has brought many blessings and many additional challenges. Some which at times seemed to overwhelm us in ways we never thought would happen. Our Family has seen members face mental health obstacles such as Bipolar, Dementia, and Depression. These and other illnesses such as Autism and ADHD affect Children and Adults. We learned that these people do not suffer or struggle with a mental illness but that they travel or journey with it.

A mental or physical illness does not define who a person is, what they are, or what they can become. It is something that they travel with along the way. Sometimes an illness appears to be in the drivers seat of someone's life. It doesn't know how to drive and can make quick and often erratic sudden starts, turns and stops. It can not only put your life in danger but also others around you. It can travel in the back seat and be annoying and distract you from staying focused on the drive of your life. If managed and treated correctly in does travel with you but it can be in the trunk of the car. Yes it is with you but you make the driving decisions in your life and the illness doesn't need to distract or detract  from being ourselves and enjoying life.

We join with many this time of year to recognize and celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus. His presence is worth more than any presents. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year that exceeds your expectations in health, happiness, love, prosperity, and  service to others.
