Being a great giver and receiver

There is an old proverb that says a generous man forgets what he gives and remembers what he receives. In order to become a great giver one also needs to learn about becoming a great receiver. This time of year there are many opportunities to become a great giver. How do you receive? A gift needs to be well received in order for the gift giving process to be complete. This goes beyond the typical Christmas gifts of toys, jewelry, clothes, spirits, food, and gift cards. Receiving gifts of love and with love benefits both in their capacity to give and receive. The baby born on the first Christmas is an example of a gift that if received can give the receiver a lifetime of opportunities to be a great giver. True gifts are eternal.

This edition of our USANA Newsletter is kind of like re-gifting without the negative thoughts usually connected with re-gifting. It features an article by Dr. Ray Strand from his newsletter about preventing dementia, a recap of our Blog Updates for November, The USANA Product of the Month: Reset (which you can re gift to yourself in the form of improved health and waistline), and the Christmas Experience.

This is a rarer form of dementia that is basically a combination of Alzheimer’s dementia and Parkinson’s disease. In other words, he has both a dementia and a movement disorder. It is sad to see him have difficulty even walking through a door or understanding simple instructions. Read more.

The Christmas Experience

Our five senses are experiencing the Christmas Season as you read this letter. The sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feelings are different this time of year. Sure it helps if you are not only dreaming of a White Christmas but living in it. What about many that will never see a White Christmas, but one that is green and bright and say Mele Kalikimaka? Christmas is the time of year when the hearts of men, women, and children grow to look at the hope and vision of Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward men. Enjoy a healthy Christmas and Holiday Season this year and in the future. Your mind can take higher quality pictures than any camera of the memories you create. Make this Christmas the best Christmas of your life.
